Tuesday

 Today we will finish making class notes on the sheets around the room and then we will look at a PPT and take some notes on Ancient Egypt. We will look at Pharaohs and Religion of Ancient Egypt this week.

  Today you will have some time to finish the questions at the end of chapter 3 (please turn these questions in) and then we will move on to creating a set of notes from the chapter. This week we will look closely on Egypt.

 Today we are going to do a couple of things - 1) We are going to look at the Epic of Gilgamesh. The oldest piece of literature in history. Wednesay

 Today we are going to present your projects to the class and then look at Egypt and the Celts in your textbook. We will spend some time on Egypt this week and we will return to Mesopotamia tomorrow with Gilgamesh.

Remember choose one of the civilizations we read about on Friday and create a google slides presentation including the following: Note, for next week (probably Wednesday) you will need to choose one civilization and do a presentation on the following: 1) Name of civilization 2) What were they known for 3) Type of Government, Rulers and/or Leaders 4) Inventions/Discoveries 5) Gods - Religion 6) Any stories about them or from them and why were they important

  Learning Goal:     Students will be able to discuss the life styles of the earliest humans, and how some of their choices led to the development of cities.   Today we are going to look at a powerpoint about the earliest humans and read chapter 2 of your textbooks.   HW: Start to create a time line of early history.
